throughout Aug & Sep “Rembrandt etching”
A unique ink etching taken from a copperplate believed to have been made by
Rembrandt in 1633. It is the only known copy to have been printed in red ink; made
at some time after his death. Well worth seeing. Included in normal House admission.

Sat 27th & Sun 28th Aug “Home and Prison”
Meet a Scottish soldier of the Highland Division and find out more about the role the
House played as an army base and a prisoner of war camp during the Second World
War. Take the chance to get up close to some of the authentic military equipment of
the period. Included in normal House admission.

Mon 29th Aug Guided tours of House & grounds
Volunteers will be providing 1 hour guided tours of the House at 1pm and 3pm, and
around some of the outside policies including inside the Mausoleum at 2pm. Places
limited to 12 per tour. Please book by calling Duff House on 01261 818181. If places
available can be joined at the start. Included in normal House admission.

Sat 3rd Sep 2-4pm Artist Talk (Exhibition to Oct)
Atsuo Hukuda is an internationally recognised Japanese Artist and his “Ways Since Rin-
pa” exhibition is exciting for Duff House. Entrance to the talk and opening reception
is by invitation – apply to info@wagonart.org. Rin-pa is a major Japanese school of
painting since the 17th century – developing during the period Duff House was being
built. This exhibition invites one different cultural perspective and sense into another.

Sun 4th 1pm Concert “Echoes and Traces”
Presented by the acclaimed choir Cappella Nova as part of their Historic Scotland tour,
in the Long Gallery. Eight new works celebrating St Magnus. Tickets via

Sun 18th Sep 2-4pm Croquet on the lawns
Every 3rd Sunday during the summer FoDH continue their popular free croquet
afternoons for everyone, a little bit of competitiveness and a lot of fun.

Wed 12th Oct – now plus Thu 13th – Dolphins etc
A few tickets available for this “study day”, now being repeated, entitled Dolphins,
Tulips and Napoleon; world experts giving short talks aimed at everyone. £10 for the
