What’s on in April – and a bit onwards !

Throughout April “David Roberts”

Scottish Royal Academy Artist early in the 19th century, well-known for his near East images plus his large format scenes from his detailed architectural works. A member of the Royal Academy he was a prominent Orientalist painter drawing on his tours in Egypt and the Near East, but latterly highly detailed studies of Scottish and European scenes and buildings.

Cost included in normal admission.

 

From Sun 10th “Kaleidoscope II”

Robert Gordon University Faculty of Design every year have some graduates that produce some outstanding work. This collection builds upon the RGU Art & Heritage Collection by graduates of Gray’s School of Art and the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment and is in acknowledgement and celebration of their creative ingenuity.

Cost included in normal admission.

 

Sun 1st May “A Grand Day Out” 12 to 4pm

Experience the magnificent Duff House at the turn of the 20th century; experience the Duke of Fife welcoming you for a fun family day out (well, an actor, but will you know the difference !).

A range of lawn games including croquet and boules, picnics on the grass in front of this most stunning of houses, enjoy a guided tour of the House and/or some of the Policies, and more.

Sat 28/Sun 29th May “Coastal Fringe”

As part of this festival throughout Banff and Macduff the originally designed (by William Adam) wings of Duff House are being laid out.  This is a public art project.

3rd Sunday, May to September Croquet on Duff House lawns

Thu 30th June evening, Illyria outside theatre “Danny the Champion of the World

Wed 13th Jul, Folksy Theatre production “As you like it“.
