Summer What’s On at Duff House
The following events are planned over the summer months. All are subject to change due to coronavirus, weather or other risk assessment, and FoDH will do their reasonable best to keep this updated.
PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF 1700 Wed 18th March DUFF HOUSE and all the events listed below have been suspended.
28th Mar (Sat) HES: Exhibition: The Printmaker’s Art: Rembrandt to Riley. Ends 12th July.
1st Apr (Wed) HES: Duff House moves to summer opening hours (7 days, 9.30am to 5.30pm)
10/11/12/13th Apr HES: Easter Eggsplorer Trail. Can you find all the clues to complete the challenge? Incl in House admission.
18/19th Apr (Sat/Sun) HES: Workshop, to make a silver etched pendant themed from the Printmaker’s Art Exhibition. 10am to 5pm. Booking required.
23rd Apr (Thurs) FoDH: Thursday 2pm Talk and AGM. Booked for the Long Gallery in Duff House.
1st to 31st May FoDH/HES: display of maritime books from the rarely seen Dunimarle Library, inside the House, Library Closet 2nd floor.
9/10th May (Sat/Sun) Oor Watters / Coastal Fringe Festival, celebrating the Year of Coasts and Waters. A large event is planned at Macduff Aquarium, also at Banff Castle.
At Duff House:
FoDH: 11am to 4pm both days, outside painting event for everyone of all ages. Painting on the large easels, or paint a local coastal view (examples provided).
Aberdeenshire Council: “Shapes of Water” travelling gallery in a bus!
HES: Free Entry to Duff House on both days.
29th Jun (Mon) HES: Exhibition: Darren Woodhead, paintings of the Banffshire Coast, including new paintings created during the Exhibition. Ends 27th Sept.
18th & 24th Jul (Sat) HES: Watercolour workshop with Darren Woodhead. 10am to 3.30pm and will be largely outside. Booking required.
20th Sept (Sun) FoDH: 10am to 4pm Doors Open Day at Duff House Mausoleum
1st Oct (Thu) HES: Duff House moves to winter opening hours (Fri, Sat, Sun 10am to 4pm)
22nd Oct (Thu) FoDH: Thursday 2pm Talks resume at Fife Lodge (Programme to be issued in due course)
